Best of luck to our quix teams this evening in the Credit Union quiz in Rathangan Hall. Pupils to be there for 7.15pm, no need to wear uniform.
Calendar for next year
The Dept. of Education sent out the list of standardised holidays for the next three years during the week. This Circular 0018/2026 can be viewed online - https://www.gov.ie/en/department-of-education/circulars/standardisation-of-the-school-year-in-respect-of-primary-post-primary-schools-for-the-years-202627-202728-and-202829 - Parents can see the various holiday periods on this. The school also determines other days that we have left to take which we will do in the coming months.
Parent Teacher Meetings
Times went out to parents for PT meetings which will be held on Mon. 16th and Tues. 17th February. A reminder that 1st class PT meetings were already held as well as some of 5th. We will meet with the parents of children who receive support later in the month.
Danone Trip
As part of our Science plan, every second year 5th and 6th go on a trip to Danone. This trip will be on Weds. Feb. 18th. They will go on a bus at 9.30am and will be home for the end of school. All pupils will receive cold lunches from Fresh Today even if they are signed off hot lunches. An Aladdin link for the bus payment will be sent on Monday.
Erasmus
I have given out Erasmus letters to all of 4th and 5th class regarding Erasmus trips for next year. and I are having a Parents' meeting about Erasmus on Monday feb. 23rd at 7.15pm so we will chat about the plan for next year. We do have Spanish teachers and pupils coming to visit us in mid March.
Valentine's Fair
We haven't had enough time to remind the children and parents about the Valentine's Fair so we will have an Easter Fair instead on Thurs. March 19th. Maybe some of the kids will have time to bake over Paddy's Day!
