Dear Parents/Guardians of 2nd and 3rd class,
We invite any parents/guardians but particularly the parents of 2nd and 3rd class to come into school tomorrow Friday at 1.30pm if they are free to attend a performance by the pupils.
This performance is linked to our Teacher Artist Partnership (TAP) project that has been running all year with the pupils of 2nd/3rd, Ms. Franey, Monica our SNA and Pete McCamley. Pete is a local musician, producer, drama teacher and director and has been working wiht the pupils.
The pupils began by working on sound creation using recyclable material and with the inspiration of our soon-to-be-built sensory garden the pupils composed a song. The children came up with their own words/phrses for the song which is called Follow the Light. They have put it to music and percussion using the sound wall that the children created. The pupils all gathered recyclable materials for the sound walls which are wonderful to see. These have lots of different sounds and are designed on pallets. They will be placed in the new sensory garden when it is built.
You are invited in to see this performance which is only a few minutes long but it showcases all the lovely work the TAP project has produced.
We are asking all our pupils to wear Green tomorrow to celebrate the TAP programme with the inspiration of our new Sensory Garden.
If the weather allows it, this performance will be outside.
Thanks everyone,
Audrey
