Welcome Back

The plans for the new school extension are available by clicking here.

We hope that you have all had restful break and are excited to be back at school.
A very special welcome to our Junior Infants who began their first day at 'big' school on Tuesday 31st August. They have met their 'buddies' from 5th and 6th class who will keep an eye on them during their first year.

A big welcome goes to our new teacher Miss Casey. Miss Casey is teaching 2nd and 3rd class and the children are helping her settle in. We look forward to hearing her play her guitar!

You will notice a big change to the school. We now have lights all around the grounds. Our GP room is now being used as a classroom. Miss Frayney and First Class are settling in well. We look forward to the extension which will commence soon, please God.
We hope our past pupils, especially last year's 6th Class, are enjoying their secondary school experience and that they don't miss us too much.

A reminder to ensure all your child's personal belongings, including coats, has their name on each item. Already some have gone missing!

A big thank you to the Parents' Council who organised a bag-packing weekend at Tesco. Many thanks to all who volunteered. It was greatly appreciated. We will let you know how much was raised as soon as possible.

Teachers are always will to meet with parents to discuss any difficulties that may arise throughout the year. We would however ask that an appointment is made in advance. Any minor difficulties, for example child not feeling well, leaving early etc, a note to the teacher will suffice.

In the interest of the children's safety please do not request an 'on-the-spot' meeting especially first thing in the morning.
Wishing you all a happy and safe year ahead.

From Isabelle and all the Staff
